The Chiropodist
Hital Patel BSc (Hons)., M.Ch.S.R.Ch qualified in 1998 from the London Foot Hospital (University College of London) and has been a State registered Chiropodist and Podiatrist with experience in both NHS and private practice since then.
All State Registered Chiropodists have to undertake three years full time training at one of 12 schools recognised by the Society of Chiropodists and pass a series of professional examinations set in both practical and theoretical areas.
Conditions
Every day our feet are subjected to excess strain and pressure which may lead to conditions such as corns, hard skin and bunions. The foot can also suffer from fungal infections like athletes foot which causes pain and irritation leading to a discoloured nail. We see a lot of verrucae patients and have state of the art liquid nitrogen equipment for the treatment of verrucae.
For the active individual, sport related injuries such as mechanical foot problems can lead to heel pain, knee pain, shin splints and muscle strains.
All of these problems can be relieved with chiropody treatment or by using one of the various pads or insoles available from our clinic. We also have extensive experience of orthotics, inlays for the shoe manufactured to exacting specifications of the foot. |
